
CASTELLI CYCLING, OFFICIAL SPONSOR OF SANTANDER TRIATHLON DEL MARÍTIM 2019, WHICH HAS GATHERED 1,700 ATHLETES
1,700 triathletes have met on a hot morning in which they have enjoyed a test scheduled in three distances: supersprint, sprint, olympic, and three modalities: singles, couples, relays. All this, with the backing of a multitude of public that, from the first hour, have gathered on the beach as well as on the Paseo Marítimo.
Manuel Ortega has been the fastest in the Olympic, who has won by crossing the finish line at 2:07:54. Behind, Víctor Valls (02:09:19), who has been second, and David Sánchez (2:09:19), third.
In the women's category, Mar Muela has climbed to the top of the podium with a time of 2:31:40. Second Nathalie Guillen (2:34:03) and third Marta Martín (2:35:44).
Together with them, 1,700 athletes arrived from all points of Spain, along with 10% of international participation.
More than 400 women
One more year, the Marítim Triathlon has improved its numbers in terms of female participation. On this occasion, 26% of the participants were women, far exceeding 400.
Among them, 40 women who, led by Juntas is Better, have made their debut in the triathlon by completing the Triathlon for us.
A flat and fast circuit
With start and finish at La Malvarrosa Beach, the Marítim Triathlon has a completely flat cyclist circuit, closed to traffic and very fast that runs along Avenida de Tarongers and Ronda Norte. As a final point, the race runs along the entire Paseo Marítimo.
