CASTELLI PERFETTO ROS, MORE VERSATILE THAN EVER FOR THIS WINTER

After four generations of Gabba and Perfetto, bad weather gets the biggest performance improvement so far, RoS: rain or sun. The emphasis is on comfort in dry climates, which is where these products really stand out, but they also offer almost waterproof protection if you get caught in the rain.

In 2010, Castelli presented the Gabba to professionals and forever changed the way professionals dress to compete and train in the rain and cold. Thanks to the extraordinary balance of breathability, weather protection and aerodynamic fit of the jersey, other performance cyclists soon saw the need for a Gabba in their wardrobe.

The best: Gabba has just improved. This season we have given the Gabba RoS jersey an important improvement in performance, making it even better in the rain and maintaining its excellent breathability.

In the fourth generation we have decided to apply a significant improvement. This has coincided with the idea of wanting to achieve a level of total impermeability that has meant developing the new GORE-TEX INFINIUM ™ WINDSTOPPER® fabric. On the front we have applied a light and warm polar fabric, and on the back a light and more water repellent fabric than the previous model. Provides greater protection against water thanks to the sealed seams on the shoulders and the zip with waterproof flap.

Now even better in both dry and wet conditions, Perfetto RoS long-sleeved jackets get several important improvements to ensure winter cycling is more comfortable than ever.

We returned to the design table to find a better way to make a removable sleeve jacket and in the process, we created a bright and versatile jacket. Zippers are placed just above the elbow and cover 3/4 of the arm circumference. With the sleeves in place, you have the Castelli Perfetto RoS long-sleeved high-performance jacket. But if you remove the sleeves and you will have a real Gabba to use with Nano Flex arm warmers. The zippers are covered so that they are not visible from the outside or felt from the inside.

PERFETTO ROS LIGHT AND PERFETTO ROS VEST

The Perfetto RoS Light jersey is lighter than the Gabba jersey but so versatile in changing conditions.

The Perfetto Light jersey began life with the objective of fulfilling the wishes of professional cyclists, who asked for a slightly lighter and more breathable Gabba, but warmer than the Perfetto RoS vest.

Then, with the Gabba jersey as a starting point, the back was created with the Nano Light waterproof fabric, without the fleece inside. This gives the piece a lot of breathability and prevents it from overheating inside. By using a lighter GORE-TEX INFINIUM ™ 203 stretch fabric (25% lighter than that used in the Gabba) in the front, the total weight was reduced even more.

The new Perfetto RoS Light jersey is closer to a Perfetto RoS vest with sleeves, which makes it perfect for spring and fall workouts and racing in cool conditions.

This garment does not completely replace the Gabba or a Perfetto vest, but it is another “must have” in your wardrobe. Ideal for cold temperatures, especially when the forecast is light rain.
